"Visually, the show is stripped down without feeling empty. Scenic designer Nathan Bohannon offers a simple set that never gets in the way but still supports the emotional shifts. Resa Fuller’s lighting lifts the play’s more surreal moments into something a little mythic, especially in the sudden, suspended monologues that punctuate the action. Jenna Gove’s costumes keep the dancers grounded in time and place while giving just enough visual cohesion to emphasize their collective identity."

The Play That Goes Wrong
Illinois Theatre
But the actors are really just vehicles for the true star of this show: the technical elements. Fallon Podrazik’s set is a marvel. When an elevator broke and, later, when the platform started to fall, my jaw hit the floor. Amelia Walz’s costumes perfectly encapsulate a college-theatre aesthetic, and her choices for the crew’s costumes were both accurate and fun. Resa Fuller’s lighting provided a bright, warm landscape for the comedy to unfold.
